Oops!

Apparently there’s been some folks having trouble ordering tickets from the widget on our schedule page. Sorry about that! As far as I know it should work normally if you go through ShowClix actual website, so I put a link for that just below the widget.

If you’d like to buy tickets to this Saturday’s show, just click here

Thanks for understanding, and we’ll see ya Saturday!

WE SAVED THE WORLD!

SO NOW THAT THAT’S DONE…
Help us kick off our 2013 season with a mature audiences show on 2/16/2013? Yes, that’s right, Valentine’s Day weekend. What says “Hey, I think you’re alright,” to your Valentine like No Pants?

Welcome to 2013, we hope you are enjoying the year that almost wasn’t. The ancient Mayans did in fact show up to destroy the world on 12/21/2012 but we worked out a deal. We’d like to keep the details of that agreement secret, but let’s just say that we offered them one of our troupe members if they would spare the world and they gladly accepted. They were actually very cool about the whole thing. We have replaced that troupe member with a cyborg. Extra points to the fan who can spot the fake Brian…we mean troupe member…at our show.

Ticket sales are now live for the Valentine’s Day Weekend/Post Apocalypse show. Remember, leave the kids at home for this one.

No Pants Players Return To Alban For All-Ages Performance

The No Pants Players continue their historic season as they return to the Alban Arts and Conference Center (65 Olde Main Street, St. Albans, WV) for an all-ages improv performance this Saturday, November 3, 2012. Come and enjoy madcap fun and excitement as the talented performers amaze you with hilarious games and sketches, created right on the spot! Tickets are on sale now for $8.00 for a child’s ticket, $10.00 for an adult.

The No Pants Players are proud to welcome local magician Joey Stepp as the opening act. He has dazzled audiences throughout the valley with his spectacular illusions and will be at the Alban with the No Pants Players. Stepp’s set begins at 6:45 pm and will also perform during the intermission. Be sure to arrive early for this remarkable wizard.

Following Joey Stepp will be West Virginia’s best improv comedy troupe, the No Pants Players, doing what they do best. Making you laugh. Have a fun night out with the family and see the No Pants Players and magician Joey Stepp as they wow your Saturday night! The fun begins at 6:45 pm at the Alban Arts and Conference Center in St. Albans this Saturday, November 3. Tickets are $8.00 for children, $10.00 for adults and available now!

Long Time, No See!

Well, it’s been pretty quiet around here lately. But that’s not because we haven’t been doing things. It’s mostly because I’m a lazy web admin. But we’ve got a very special event coming up soon, and I can’t let it slide by without mentioning.

Our next show, July 14th, will be a benefit for the Jericho House of St. Albans! This means that all proceeds beyond our operating cost will be donated to help families in dire need. The No Pants Players have a long history of charitable activity, and we’re excited to be doing something for the St. Albans community that has been so good to us since we made it our home.

For an example of the kind of help the Jericho house provides, check out this article from the Charleston Gazette.

As always, tickets are available online through ShowClix (see the links above), however if you look for it on the checkout page there is a field where you can add an additional donation to the Jericho House (above the portion we will be giving to them), if you so choose.

So please share this with all of your friends and help us make a difference!

You can also join our facebook event and let all your friends know what a generous, awesome, personable, friendly, good-looking, pillar of the community you are! Also, you smell nice today. Is that a new perfume?

THE MURDERER GOT AWAY, MATURE CONTENT ADVISORY AND RATE HIKES ALL IN ONE!

If you were at the April 14th All Ages Show in St. Albans, then you watched us almost catch a killer during Clue. Or as close as we’ve come in years, which is technically still nowhere close. But we wanted to be able to call it “just barely,” so we did.

Thanks to the amazing audience that turned out for that show! We had a blast and hope you did, too! Kudos to our special guests “Batteries Not Included” for bringing their existential-teenage-improv-comedy-angst onto the stage and showing off to the NPP crowd. You guys and gals did excellent!

On to the Mature Audiences show, May 5th @ 9pm, Walker Theater at the Clay Center. Yes, you read that right. The same show you couldn’t get tickets to in February because we were sold out is back! The cash bar is back. The downtown vibe is back. The funny is back!

Due to some overhead/surcharges/death and taxes that are being imposed on us by the Clay Center, our ticket prices for the Mature Audiences shows will now be $15. Tickets MUST be ordered through the Clay Center’s box office (hence, the rate hike – out of our control), so please visit www.claycenter.org or go to “Season Schedule” under “Performances” above and follow the link to purchase tickets.

We return to the Alban Theater in St. Albans for our monthly All Ages show on May 12th, 7pm. Tickets remain $10/adult, $8/child for All Ages shows.

On Sale Now!

As a big “Thanks!” to all our fans who made the last show an overwhelming success, we’ve decided to put our online tickets for the March 10th show on sale! Just enter the coupon code: COLMUSTARD And you’ll receive a 20% discount on your purchase. This is available online only until Friday the 9th at 11:00 pm. Tell your friends, and we’ll see you at the show!

Feb. 25th is SOLD OUT!

Yes you read that title correctly. There are no more tickets available. I asked if ordering tickets online was something the fans might be interested in, and you responded with an overwhelming, “YES!” And while it saddens me that we’ll have to tell everyone that shows up without a ticket that they can’t see the show, I can’t describe what an amazing feeling it is to have so many awesome fans that there just isn’t room to hold them all. This is truly a landmark occasion for us, and hopefully a sign of great things to come for the year. Speaking of, while there’s nothing we can do about this show, tickets for the March 10th show are now up for sale. That’s only two weeks from now, and again there’s a limited capaity. So don’t wait, go ahead and grab ‘em now. I promise we’re still funny even when we’re not lewd and crude. And don’t worry, we’re looking to schedule another Adult Show sometime in May. So keep an eye out, and get those tickets before they’re gone!

Thanks again, everyone, for your amazing support!

Going Live!

So here it is!

A brand new look for the website.  Now there may not be a whole lot to see at the moment, but we’re planning on adding all sorts of new content as we go.  The biggest step was to create the backbone of the site from scratch.  Now I’m sure there’s probably a glitch or two (or more) right now, but since this is my first experience with WordPress, that’s to be expected.  So if you find something buggy, by all means send an email to admin@nopantsplayers.com and I’ll see what I can do to fix it.

The biggest new feature you’ll notice is that our schedule of events is now powered by ShowClix.  This is a big move for us as we can now sell tickets for our shows in advance online.  All you have to do is print off the ticket at home, we scan it at the door, and you’re in.

My next big goal for the year is to start postings clips of a couple games from each show in our new Video Highlights section.  Of course, you can catch everything we post by subscribing to our YouTube channel.

Now we No Pants Players are excellent at procrastination (Why plan ahead when you can make it up on the spot?), but I’d like to get some columns or articles from the gang to post here as well.  Again, if you have any ideas for content you’d like to see added to the site, please email me, and I’ll see what I can do.

I finally got the site out of the 90′s Geocities era, let’s see if we can bring it into the 21st Century.  :)
